Integrated Cupping Add-On: $20

Using modern, safer silicone cups, cupping is a traditional Chinese bodywork technique that, unlike the compressive qualities of deep tissue massage, pulls out on the skin and underlying musculature using suction. The cups can be momentarily static for trigger-point like work, or moved around the body for a unique massage experience. If you’re new to cupping, we can take it slow and use just one or two cups to see if you like it. Cups will be integrated into the traditional therapeutic massage session. Cupping can create light pink, red, or even purple marks that may last for a few days to two weeks on the skin. Depending on the client, lasting marks are often unavoidable. Please do not book a cupping add-on if this is unacceptable. Cupping is contraindicated for pregnancy and those with any circulatory issues, such as diabetes or those recovering from COVID.

Myofascial Burn Scar Therapy

Myofascial Burn Scar Therapy can be a shorter 30 minute treatment, where we just work on the burn tissue, or a 60 minute session, where it’s integrated into a longer therapeutic, full body massage. Myofascial burn scar therapy can help decrease the thickness and increase the flexibility of scarred skin, allowing for a greater range of motion. Burn scar massage can also help with itching and pain, and can improve overall general mood and outlook.

Offered in 30, 60 and 90 minute sessions.
